OUR HISTORY
In the 1980s, a group of men and women from a Catholic charismatic renewal community called ‘Ang Ligaya ng Panginoon (The Joy of the Lord),’ experienced a call to commit their lives to God.
They were then moved to share about their faith with their classmates and friends. Their strong design to talk about their life committed to Christ with other students in their respective campuses paved the way for informal get-togethers and faith-sharing sessions.
Thus began a new campus movement—Christian Youth in Action, which was eventually renamed to what we know as Christ’s Youth in Action (CYA).
