We are CYA Valencia

It was in October 1991 when Raffy Delos Reyes, Charity Sumagang, Ate Beth Lubos and other children of CFC – Valencia were ‘volunteered’ to join the 3rd MinCon in Cagayan de Oro.
Inspired from that event, they began the first CLS in Valencia in April 1992 and started branching out in CMU on the year 1993. Ate Mary Ann Navaja, a faculty member from College of Engineering, turned out to be an alumna so she helped a lot in inviting the first members of CYA CMU. This is how why CYA-CMU in the first 20 years was dominated by Engineering students. Raffy delos Reyes was the student volunteer (together with the Centenos), and Ate Beth Lubos was also on hand. Kuya Raffy also became the first full time staffer in 1995 but short-lived because after 1 month, he was invited to join the faculty force.
