We are CYA Zamboanga

CYA-Zamboanga started as an outreach of CYA-Iligan when a team headed by the late Doodz Dalangin and wife Minnie held a CLS to a group of young men and women in 1989. The CLS graduates then formed a prayer group that regularly met at Sta. Maria Parish Church. The group called itself Young Servants of Christ. After continuous mission trips & mentoring by CYA-Iligan, the Zamboangueños were able to conduct its own CLS a few months later. The group added more members and was able to send delegates to the 3rd Mindanao Conference in Cagayan de Oro City in 1990. As the group grew in number, it was formally named a chapter in 1992. In 1993 it started an outreach to Isabela City, Basilan. It continued to serve not only Sta. Maria Parish, but also the Archdiocesan Youth Ministry and the WMSU Campus Ministry.
